T4T#6

Style never equals Fashion to me. I feel it, but I could  never describe it just with couple words. Everybody understand what fashion or style means in general, but when you ask what is the difference you hear long pause before the answers, if you even get one.

I'm not a fashion person. I do not want to be a fashion person! I know what is trendy now, but every time I decide if I want to follow this particular trend or not. I do not know if I have a style? At least I can not find simple words to describe it: timeless? dressy? simple? Bright and colorful? I think being forty years old I've finally realized what looks goon on me and learned to ignore cuts of clothes and colors that does not fit me.
But style? Lots of time I see people use this word to describe somebody dressed in most recent runway items, that is going to change after next fashion week. It looks like so much waste not investments! Well, maybe somebody considers is as investment in fun? Then why we are are talking Audrey Hepburn style which is style recognized by everyone after so many years?

I'm trying to determine this Fashion/Style difference for myself every time I go to a store, browse on-line and get dressed in the morning. I want to have a style... not fashion...

  1. I do agree on defirences between fashion and style but sometimes they are combined - that's perfection!

    1. Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm still trying to find my own style, so I keep on thinking about fashion and trends and perfection! And I really admire people who can create a style that becomes popular and every one wants to copy it!

  2. I think this is great and I agree! You have your own style and you get to choose if you like the current fashion and whether to wear it or not! So true girl! :)
